WHAT IS A WAREHOUSE?
Warehousing refers to the system of storing and organizing products in a very large space and distributing them later when a requirement is raised. A warehouse contains several components like racks and bins set of a storage capacity, a climate system for products that need temperature management, inventory management software to have a synchronized check and picking equipment to transport goods from one place to another.
Warehouse even helps you to maintain consistent stock levels by storing your products for a longer period. You can purchase products in bulk and sell them all along solving the non-availability of products issue.
Warehousing forms an integral part of the supply chain process, without which customer's purchasing experience will be hampered. Not only that, lack of an adequate warehouse can cause delayed deliveries which can eventually lead to a negative customer experience.
Warehousing does play a pivotal role in the entire manufacturer's supply chain management process, and its contribution is only predicted to increase in the coming years.
